The DSTV family is probably the most popular DSTV package; it offers a reasonable selection of TV channels at an affordable price. The family package gives you all DSTV Access channels and more.
Channels added to the family package include CNN, Euro News, Channel O, ESPN Classic, Mnet Series, Inspiration, Africa Magic, MTV Base, Cartoon Network, etc., over 55 digital TV channels.
The DSTV family also offers all 24 available audio services. Available audio channels include BBC (3 channels), Voice of America (VOA), RAI radio, Ray power FM, Star FM, music channels, etc.
3. DSTV Compact (14000 XAF per month or $28)
DStv Compact gives you all the family channels and more. Channels added to the compact package include BBC World, RAI International, Sony Entertainment, MNET Action, Africa Magic Plus, ESPN Sports, SuperSport 10, and more, over 60 channels in all.
The compact plan also includes all available DSTV 24 audio services. The Compact package is a good choice if you need more exciting channels. HD channels are also not available in this package.
4. DSTV Compact Plus (30000 FCFA per month or $50)
DStv Compact Plus offers all DSTV Compact channels in addition to two sports channels. The sports channels added are SuperSport 7 and SuperSport 10. It aims to give sports fans in Cameroon and Africa access to premium sports at a more affordable price than is possible with the Premium package.
Subscribers to the bouquet will watch 90% of EPL matches and other live sports such as the French League, the Bundesliga, the PSL, the Spanish La Liga, and rugby, golf, tennis, athletics, boxing, and motorsport.
If the only reason you subscribe to the Premium package is to watch sports, then you're better off with Compact Plus. HD channels are not available on the Compact plan. Note that if you need 100% EPL, you must opt for the Premium package.
5. DSTV Premium (50000 FCFA per month)
The DSTV Premium package is the premium package that gives you all available DSTV SD/HD video and audio channels. Last time we checked, the Premium plan offers more than 85 exciting TV channels.
Premium package exclusive channels include Mnet West, VUZU AMP, MNET Edge, Discovery channel, SuperSport 3, History Channel, Boomerang, Discovery, all HD channels, etc. The Premium plan is for people who want nothing less than the best.
If you want to receive HD channels, you must opt for the Premium channel as currently exclusive HD channels on the Prem package.
